Share the love of music with a classically trained award winning educator and fiddler. Study with Katherine Moller and see why she was selected by the National Arts Centre of Canada to participate in the Canada Performs concert series!
I believe in a strong technical background no matter what kind of music you want to learn! With strong technique you can chose what it is that you want to play and not me limited to one style or another!
I love to teach a combination of classical violin and Celtic fiddle, and my lessons are personally tailored to fit your musical background and as well as your musical interests!
One-on-one online sessions allow us to really focus on your progress and goals. For online lessons, I offer packages of six lessons. If you’re interested in a trial lesson, we can start there and then decide on a package.
I offer both private and group in-person lessons for adults at the Charlotte St. Arts Centre in Fredericton, NB. Private lessons are generally 30 minutes long, but I also offer 45-minute and hour-long sessions. I recommend weekly lessons to keep you practicing regularly and to prevent the development of bad habits.
As for group lessons, we meet on Tuesdays from 1:30-3pm. We play traditional Old Time and Celtic music along with some golden oldies. You need to be able to read sheet music to join this group.
Book private in-person lessons and/or find out more about group sessions by contacting me.

Katherine is extremely patient but at the same time she has a very subtle way of challenging me as a student. Through my lessons I have become reacquainted with a part of my brain that has been dormant for a long time. I do not listen to music the same way. I hear music in everyday sounds that I had never considered musical. A true enlightenment.

I have learned so much from Katherine in such a short period of time, more than I’ve ever learned from taking piano and organ lessons, where it was all just about reading music. Katherine has helped me learn theory and technique which can really help me to progress to the next level and become the kind of fiddle player I hope to someday achieve. So so glad I found Katherine!

Fan to Fiddler is a great course. I learned so much and the format progressed so it wasn’t just new tunes, it was scales, technique, speed (or not), and everything is right at your fingertips!

This program is great! I do things at my own pace, and the videos and instruction is second to none! I started playing almost 3 years ago. Katherine is a great teacher. So much material included!

I love Katherine’s programs. They have helped me so much. The fact that you can start tunes at a slow speed, then gradually increase as I am able to play along with her is so rewarding!
